In a strategic move to promote physical activity among its members, AIA Australia has announced partnerships with global fitness company Peloton and premium cycling brand Specialized.
These collaborations aim to provide AIA Vitality members with significant discounts on cycling equipment, thereby encouraging a more active lifestyle.

Under the partnership with Peloton, AIA Vitality members are eligible for a 25% discount on the Peloton Bike. To fully utilise the Peloton experience, members will need to subscribe to the Peloton All-Access Membership, which offers a vast library of live and on-demand classes, scenic rides, and real-time performance tracking.

Additionally, AIA Vitality members can earn points for physical activity tracked via the Peloton app. Completing a workout of over 20 minutes earns 50 points, while workouts exceeding 45 minutes garner 100 points. This integration not only incentivises regular exercise but also contributes to reducing insurance premiums for active members.

Complementing this initiative, AIA Australia has partnered with Specialized to cater to members who prefer outdoor cycling. AIA Vitality members can access selected Specialized bikes with a 25% discount, up to a maximum of $750. This offer aims to make high-quality cycling equipment more accessible, encouraging outdoor physical activity.

Damien Mu, CEO of AIA Australia, emphasised the importance of these partnerships in promoting health and wellbeing. He noted a significant increase in at-home workouts and outdoor cycling since the pandemic, highlighting the relevance of these collaborations in supporting members' fitness journeys.

These initiatives align with AIA Australia's commitment to fostering healthier lifestyles among its members. By providing tangible incentives for physical activity, AIA aims to improve long-term health outcomes and offer financial benefits through reduced insurance premiums.

For personal trainers, these developments present an opportunity to encourage clients to engage in cycling as a form of exercise. The availability of discounted, high-quality equipment can serve as a motivating factor for clients to incorporate cycling into their fitness routines, potentially leading to improved health outcomes and client satisfaction.
